About this car seat

Parents loved the innovation in the Joie i-Spin, so Joie continued to develop it and now we can offer the i-Spin Safe!

For use from birth until they are 105cm (that's about 18.5kg, or 4 years) it's easy to install, easy to use and best of all, your little one will be comfortable and super safe.

All safety experts agree that the safest way to face a car seat is rear facing and as i-Spin Safe is all about being as safe as possible, i-Spin Safe is a seat which only faces backwards.

 The seat rotates on its base 90° in any direction and you can twist and turn it with just one hand, meaning you can turn the seat towards any car door, making getting in and out the ultimate breeze. No more stretching and pulling as you try to get them in.

Installing the seat is also very easy. Simply click the ISOFIX brackets into place in your car, then adjust the 19-position leg until the load leg indicator turns green to tell you it's correctly fitted.

Moving to safety - The seat features Joie's Surround Safety protective panels that automatically expand when your child is in the seat, providing extra safety in the event of a crash. There is also a 5-point harness with shoulder and buckle covers to ensure they are comfortable and secure. The Grow-With-Me 3-piece baby insert also ensures they are properly positioned when they are young.

The i-Spin Safe really earns its name due to the fact that it has passed not just one set of high-end security tests, but two! Not only has it been tested to the R129 (i-Size) safety standard, but Joie has also successfully passed the extensive Swedish Plus Test.

The Swedish Plus Test is a voluntary test carried out by VTI, the National Road and Transport Research Institute, in Sweden and is considered the toughest set of crash tests for car seats in the world.

Now we're into the little extras to make life a little easier for you, the parent! In addition to the 90° one-handed swivel seat, there are 6 different recline positions, all of which can be adjusted without repositioning the seat. Then there's the extendable headrest and belt, simply lift the headrest and the belt extends too - so there's no fiddling with removing threads and loops and when you pull the strap to tighten, the easy one-pull movement puts the headrest in the right position fit when the belt is tight. Overall less worrying whether you get it right or not!
